Korça police have launched investigations following the death of a 49-year-old woman a day ago in this city.
Gentiana Nano was taken to the emergency room of Korça Hospital three days ago after experiencing breathing problems. After treatment at the emergency room, she was sent home, but according to family members, she was still not well. The day before, her son and husband found the 49-year-old lifeless in her room.
Her son Erdiol Nano has leveled accusations against the doctors at Korça Hospital, saying that the latter have not shown the necessary care for his mother.
" Mom said I'm not feeling well, I feel tired and my heart rate is high. She wasn't feeling well and she said we're going to the hospital. We took her, they did some tests, they told her she had anemia, they gave her some medication and we left. She kept saying she wasn't feeling well but the doctors didn't tell us anything and they took her out. How can you let a person leave when he says he's not feeling well?
"I want to know why the doctors didn't tell us what to do? Why didn't they leave him in the hospital but took him out? How did they let him leave the hospital in that condition? Today it happened to me, tomorrow it could happen to someone else ," he told the media yesterday.
