Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has chosen a special photo to congratulate his wife, Liri Berisha, on her birthday, as well as their wedding anniversary.

The former Prime Minister chose an image from when they were both young to wish Liri Berisha a happy holiday.

"Friends, July 5th is the day of our two family holidays," Berisha wrote in an Instagram post to his followers.

As he added: "First of all, today is Lili's birthday, which every year is the main birthday, or the birthday that is talked about and celebrated the most in our family. But today we also have the wedding anniversary, of our 54-year journey together."

Berisha expresses his boundless gratitude towards his wife, stating that "with her love, dedication, kindness, and sacrifices, she has been like a true earthly deity in our lives."

"Happy Lili, and God willing, many, many more years with all of us together!", writes the leading democrat.

Today is a special day for our family!

Friends, July 5th is the day of our two family holidays.

First of all, today is Lili's birthday, which every year is the main birthday, or the birthday that is talked about and celebrated the most in our family.

But today is also our wedding anniversary, our 54-year journey together. Therefore, my children and I have boundless gratitude for Lili, who with her love, dedication, kindness, and sacrifices has been like a true earthly deity in our lives.
