Albanian chef Aldo Mehmeti, who prepared the food for businessman Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, has told Top Channel about the behind-the-scenes of their visit to Albania.

Aldo Mehmeti, the renowned Albanian chef, recounts interesting details from that day, although no photos were allowed and any contact with the media was strictly prohibited.

According to his account, a few days before the couple's arrival, the restaurant where he works had been visited by suspicious groups of tourists, who had a small snack and stayed there for a while. Later, he realized that they were part of the secret services, who were checking the environment and security measures.

The Kushner-Trump couple arrived at the restaurant unannounced around 1 p.m. Monday, sitting on the veranda while other customers were still inside. They asked for fresh fish and chose Sinagridha, one of the most expensive fish on the market, which was cooked according to a traditional recipe, completely covered in salt.

According to the chef, Jared Kushner was very pleased with the food, while they accompanied the meal with wine.

The couple stayed there until sunset, where with their permission, several photos were taken. However, Ivanka Trump requested that all photos be deleted, except for the one published on social media, which, according to Aldo, was only allowed three days later.

Security was at its peak at all times. Guards were present at every corner, while the couple's children were accompanied by bodyguards whenever they moved inside the restaurant.

"Apart from the service, we were not allowed to talk to journalists or give interviews," concludes Aldo Mehmeti. /TCH
