The Special Court has separated the criminal case for the Metamorphosis file, partially accepting the request for summary trial.

The GJKKO separates Pëllumb Gjoka, Edmond Preka and Behar Brajovic, as they have more serious criminal offenses than the other defendants. All three will be tried under ordinary procedure.

While former prosecutor Xhevahir Lita, Ardit Hasanbegaj, Astmer Bilali and former head of the Operational Office Oltian Bistri will be tried in a summary procedure.

The decision was made by the trio of judges Etleva Deda, Flora Hajredinaj and Irena Gjoka.

The group of 7 people are charged with several serious criminal offenses, starting from "Premeditated murder", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization", "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", committed in the special form of cooperation, that of a structured criminal group, "Active corruption of a judge, prosecutor and other justice officials", etc.

For other persons under investigation for whom the security measures approved by the Criminal Court of Kosovo have not yet been executed, for other criminal facts, as well as for other persons involved in criminal activities, which have resulted during the investigative actions carried out in this criminal proceeding, the criminal case has been separated and continues to be in the preliminary investigation phase.

At the next session on May 19 at 3:00 PM, the special prosecution will issue final conclusions for the persons who will be tried under the summary procedure.
