"Sterilization" file/ HEARING postponed due to lack of lawyers!

The hearing at the GJKKO has been postponed on the sterilization issue, due to the lack of lawyers.

Former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj , has increased the number of lawyers who will defend him in this process.

In addition to lawyer Ermal Yzeiri, he will also be represented by lawyer Florian Bonjaku.

Former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, is being tried in connection with the issue of mass sterilization under house arrest.

Meanwhile, he is in prison on charges related to the SASPAC dossier and the theft of European Union funds.

In the previous session, Beqaj submitted a statement about his health condition, stating that he could not participate due to health problems and accompanied it with a medical prescription for the medication he is taking in his cell.

The Special Prosecution Office has filed various charges against Beqaj and several other defendants, including passive corruption of officials, fraud, forgery, violation of equality in tenders, and concealment of assets.

Charges have also been filed against other defendants, Ermal Kurtulaj, Bledar Leka, Gazmend Haxhia and Mira Topçiu.
