The mayor of Berat, Ervin Demo, inaugurated today the new parking lot in the center of the city. The project, one of the largest in the city of Berat, has a capacity of over 200 vehicles and gives an important breath to the traffic relief in the city.
Demo said that this is just one of the many major projects that will take place in Berat to return this city to where it deserves.
"We will have an extraordinary wave for the development of Berat and believe me that the years ahead will be the years of turning point that Berat will be remembered in all of Albania" - said the socialist mayor of Berat.
Ervin Demo also gave a message to his counter-candidate, who has come out against this project. He said that the municipality has saved taxpayers about 150 thousand dollars by designing the project itself and has done an extraordinary job to secure it to the Albanian Development Fund. Demo said that opponents want Berat as a tool for political warfare.
This parking is the best indicator that if we persist, if we are not distracted by endless noises, which come from those who do not love Berat very much but look at Berat as a tool that they can just play with and not they see it as a city that not only has an extraordinary future, but above all, it must be built for the generations that we have ahead of us. The
underground parking is located under the main square of the city and is part of the requalification of the center where another square will be added. new, that of religious coexistence, a project that turns the city into identity.
