The suicide of Xhuana Nikollaj a week ago has shocked public opinion in our country, as it is suspected that the 25-year-old ended her life after being raped by her ex-husband, Eraldo Fizi .

Nikollaj's family has accused Eraldo Fizi of repeatedly raping the 25-year-old and that this was the reason for their divorce.

They also accused Xhuana's ex-mother-in-law of raping the young woman several times while she was living with him.

Xhuana's ex-mother-in-law has also reacted to these accusations. Eraldo Fizi's mother has refused to comment on the case, stating that she is doing something like this out of respect for the deceased.

"I'm sorry but I can't speak. I can't speak because I want to respect the deceased who is where he shouldn't be," she told News24.

We recall that after the serious incident, Eraldo Fizi remains on the run after being declared wanted by the police following the report filed by Xhuana Nikollaj's family members at Police Station No. 2 in Tirana.
