Ilir Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, said that the case's passage to trial has led to the conclusion of the legal process for Meta and the launch of the political case.

Cakrani said that despite the court itself finding that there was a lack of evidence, it ignored the defendants' requests to supplement it, saying that the case would be reviewed on its merits.

" After the court considered our requests when we had grounds for completing the investigations, the court found that the investigations were incomplete. The court again failed to rise to the level required by its duty, did not accept the requests and sent the case for trial, saying that these issues are resolved only on the merits.

The court of first instance will make both the prosecutor and the judge. There is nothing new, today the legal issue has ended, the political issue begins. This is a useless procedure. We have been dealing with the court for 7 months and they have made fun of the lawyers.
