Saranda Police have solved the explosive attack that occurred in February of this year in Konispol, where the target was Mirash Gjikola , 57 years old.

According to the police, after intensive investigations, the two suspected perpetrators of the incident have been identified and declared wanted.

Citizens Griseld Taullaj,  39, and  Xhafer Bajo,  39, both residents of Saranda, have been declared wanted  .

For them, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda has set the security measure "Arrest in prison".

Investigations show that the perpetrators are suspected of placing a quantity of explosives in the vehicle driven by citizen  Mirash Gjikola , 57 years old, with the aim of eliminating him.

They are accused of the criminal offenses of " Premeditated Murder ", committed in collaboration and remaining an attempt, as well as " Unlicensed Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition ".

They attempted to kill a 57-year-old man with explosives in February of this year.

After intensive investigations, the incident is solved, the two suspected perpetrators are identified and declared wanted.

As a result of intensive investigative work by the structures for the Investigation of Serious Crimes at the Vlora Police Department and the Saranda Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, to shed light on the event that occurred on 05.02.2026, at the place called "Vrina Bridge Crossing", in Konispol, after the evidence collected and the information provided, the suspected perpetrators of this event were identified and declared wanted, specifically the citizens:

GT, 39 years old and Xh. B., 39 years old, both residents of Saranda.

For these citizens, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda has determined the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder, committed in collaboration, attempted", as well as "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

Investigations suspect that these citizens placed a quantity of explosives in the vehicle driven by citizen M. Gj., 57 years old, with the intention of killing him.

Police structures continue their intensive work to locate, capture, and hold them accountable.

Meanwhile, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues on the complete legal documentation, identification and capture of other persons involved in this event.
