Kukësi has been engulfed by heavy snowfall, which has caused that in mountainous areas such as Shishtaveci, the thickness reaches up to 50 cm.
Dozens of villages have been left without electricity, while stones have fallen on some roads, creating difficulties for traffic. The entire territory of the Kuka District is affected by low-intensity rainfall and snowfall at an altitude above 450 m.
As a result of these weather conditions, all national road axes continue to be under the pressure of falling stones, inerts and frost, creating difficulties in the normal circulation of vehicles in some road segments.
The contracting entities have been working all the time with all the capacities to keep them functional. At present, all national road axes are normally trafficable.
From the municipalities of Kukës, Tropoja and Has, there are no reports of any emergency problems, while the villages of Zogaj, Kepeneg, Grykë-Çajë, Gdheshët e Pistë and the administrative units of Bytyq, Golaj, Bushtricë and Malzi have problems with electricity.
In the meantime, drinking water is supplied according to the schedules determined by the Kukës Regional Directorate of Water Supply.
