Serious in Roskovec/ 59-year-old man injures ex-father-in-law with sickle

A 52-year-old man has been arrested by police in Fier, after allegedly injuring a 67-year-old man with a sickle.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening, around 10:30 PM, in the village of Suk, Roskovec. According to the police, BB had a conflict with EG, 67, for weak motives, in the latter's apartment and hit him in the leg with a sickle.

According to police, the 52-year-old had gone to the 67-year-old's apartment after violating a court-imposed protection order for his former partner, the injured man's daughter.

The suspect was arrested about 30 minutes after the incident, near his apartment in the village of Mbërsh, Roskovec.

The 67-year-old is receiving medical attention in hospital and is out of danger.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
