Prime Minister Edi Rama stopped this Tuesday in Fier at the Traffic Monitoring Center, which is now ready and work is underway to train staff until June.
Rama emphasized that through the control system, all of Albania will be monitored with intelligent cameras in real time.
"This center will be connected to the project that we have financed with the United Emirates, to have the entire territory, starting from cities, district centers, hospitals, schools, public institutions, national axes under a system of intelligent cameras. Those screens will see all of Albania in real time, but the system is such that it will immediately signal here for an increase in speed at a certain point in the Republic.
There will be no more police on the road, not at all! They will be organized in a different way so that they are ready, but not to come out and say "stop for a minute". The real-time speed control system will make it so that not only will the fines be immediate and come to your iPhone along with your portrait, along with the joy you have on your face when you feel the adrenaline of speed, with a greeting, have a good time all the way home, don't repeat it again because it will come again. In addition to the fines being transparent, it will have an extraordinary effect on reducing accidents because the adrenaline will be very expensive if they insist on having an accident. There will be a previously unknown capacity to identify problematic people, in relation to non-payment of car insurance for example", declared the head of government.
