The court of Lezha has today set the security measure of "prison arrest" for 28-year-old Nikoll Sherrniku and 34-year-old Flutura Berisha.

They were caught three days ago inside a Toyota armored vehicle with a Kalashnikov rifle loaded with cartridges ready to fire, another magazine full of cartridges and two radios, like those used by the police. The two young men were arrested near a building in Kune of Shengjin, as when they saw the police they tried to escape and during the attempt to leave, Flutura Berisha tried to hide the Kalashnikov as well.

According to the Blues of Lezha, from the investigations it is suspected that Nikoll Sherrniku and Flutura Berisha would commit a murder, but without giving more details due to the preservation of investigative secrecy.

The 28-year-old broke the "house arrest" security measure imposed in connection with his involvement in the incident that took place in December 2021, where the former Police employee, citizen Juliano Prela, was shot dead.

He was suspected of not having moved with Brilant Martinaj in the vehicle that was captured by the cameras on the day of the event, which was owned by a person who had changed his life from Covid-19 and was suspected to be used by the two young men.

At that time, the police arrested Nikoll Sherrnik and wanted Brilant Martinaj, but the former left the cell after claims that he was at home on the day of the incident to celebrate his birthday.

Nikoll Sherrniku was a close friend of Brilant Martinaj, who was killed a few weeks ago in the assassination attempt at the Fushë Kruja overpass, along with Diklen Vata and Besmir Hoxha. Brilant Martinaj was the son of Ervis Martinaj's uncle.
