"They killed her son and husband" - Journalist tells the story of the

This Wednesday morning, five Albanian citizens were repatriated from Syria, following a recent operation coordinated by the Tas Force established by order of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Among those repatriated is the elderly woman from Pogradec, Hajrie Taushani, along with her minor grandson. The 79-year-old had traveled to Syria to save her two grandsons, after previously losing her son and husband in the fighting.

Regarding Taushan's case, well-known journalist Anila Hoxha has also reacted, writing in a post on social media that the elderly woman traveled to Syria to be close to her two nephews, where today only one of them was brought to our country, while the other is in Syrian prisons.

Journalist Hoxha, who has dedicated an entire show to Albanians who have remained trapped in camps in Syria, reveals that there are 14 other Albanian children in the Asian country.

While telling about the unfortunate cases of some Albanians in Syria, the journalist also highlighted some of the legal red tape faced by women whose husbands are in the jihad war.

"Some repatriated women have filed a lawsuit to have their husbands declared dead, proving their murder in the fighting alongside ISIS. But although foreign services have confirmed their murder, it will take years until they are recognized first as missing and then dead. For the wives of ISIS fighters, this court certificate must be secured, to give them the opportunity to be recognized as heads of families and take care of inheritance aspects. For the state, it is important to de-indoctrinate and minimize the risk of indoctrinating others. This is what SHISH and Anti-Terrorism serve for," she emphasizes in her post.

According to the journalist, our country knows of only 30 Albanians who have lost their lives in the fighting in Syria, while the number of prisoners is still unknown.

Five months ago, Top Channel Exclusive covered the several-year-long detention in camps of 17 children, some born in Syria and some taken by their parents to join ISIS.

The good news is that last night three of them were repatriated, as well as two adults. Among them was Hajrie Taushani, 79, who traveled to hell for her two orphaned grandchildren, Abdullain and Hafsa. But there are still 14 children left (not counting the adults in prison).

In Albania, women repatriated with children, some of whom were sentenced to probation for participating in a terrorist organization, and who gave birth to children in Syria with men who were killed there, have gone to court to recognize their motherhood. The court in Tirana has ordered DNA testing after the children they brought to Albania must be scientifically recognized by one of the parents. Some repatriated women have requested the court to declare their husbands dead, proving their murder in the fighting alongside ISIS. But although foreign services have confirmed their murder, it will take years until they are recognized first as missing and then dead. For the wives of ISIS fighters, this court certificate must be obtained without fail, to give them the opportunity to be recognized as heads of families and to take care of aspects of inheritance. For the state, indoctrination and minimizing the risk of indoctrinating others are important. This is what SHISH and Anti-Terrorism are for.

On the other hand, Albania recognizes 30 Albanians as having been killed in Syria. Meanwhile, testimonies collected by the special court in Tirana and files forwarded by the FBI speak of biometric evidence, and the names of Albanians imprisoned as members of ISIS.

Even their recent punishment in absentia is not the final chapter!
