The super hot days of summer seem to be coming to an end. Meteorologist Tanja Porja told A2 CNN that the extreme heat could last for two or three days, with similar temperatures.

"Of course we expect the temperature values ??to drop, but this is the most intense heat wave and we expect this to be the peak of this summer. After that, all trends are for decreasing temperatures, both in the morning and afternoon values ??for the following days," she said.

"Unfortunately, the drop will be very slight and very gradual and we expect that after mid-week we will have a more noticeable drop in temperatures. After August 12-13, we expect to feel the drop in thermal values, where the thermometer will drop to 36 or 37, and then in the second half of August we normally expect another thermal picture."

This summer has been extremely hot, the maximum values ??in the territory have been very high, said Porja. "If you look at the graph, from the beginning of June until the end the temperatures are 35°C and above 35°C."

According to the meteorologist, due to the temperatures, this summer could be the hottest in the history of measurements.

"In the history of measurements, it is the summer of 2023, the summer that broke records on all continents. Of course, there were extremely high temperatures throughout Europe and in Albania. We cannot say that 2026 will be the hottest summer. We will wait for the summer to end. So until August 31. But I assure you one thing, this year has signals to be the hottest year in the history of measurements ," said Porja.
