Kosovo authorities have included Jozef Marku, former Big Brother Vip Albania resident, on the list of people who should be detained at the border, following the violent incident with Kosovar citizen Edi Kuçi, former contestant of Përputhen.
The decision comes after the opening of a criminal case regarding the physical altercation, full footage of which was recently published on social media.
The news was confirmed by the spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja, Shkodran Nikçi. According to him, the prosecutor has opened, on his own initiative, a criminal case against Jozefin Marku, a citizen of the Republic of Albania.
A case has been opened for the criminal offense of "Minor bodily injury", allegedly inflicted on a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, EK, initials referring to Edi Kuçi.
"The state prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja, respectively the acting prosecutor, on his own initiative has opened a criminal case against JM, a citizen of the Republic of Albania, for the criminal offense of 'Light bodily injury' inflicted on a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo EK", Nikçi declared.
He announced that the Prosecution has authorized the Kosovo Police to initiate the case, include the suspect in the border list for special control, and take other legal actions.
"The state prosecutor has authorized the Kosovo Police to initiate the case and place the suspect on the stop list and take legal action against him," Nikçi stated.
According to the Prosecution, the actions were taken based on Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, which, according to the authorities, also applies to foreign citizens for criminal offenses committed outside the territory of Kosovo against its citizens.
