A Kosovar man in his fifties has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping his daughter in France, "Actu.fr" reports.

The decision of the Court of Meuse Assize ruled in favor of the girl who was the victim of incest by her father for a decade.

According to the Court, the father started abusing his daughter when she was 13 years old.

He continued the abuse between 2010 and 2020.

In addition to sexual violence, the girl was also a victim of physical violence and death threats.

"A domestic tyrant, perverted, manipulative, egocentric, extremely cold," is how the general prosecutor, Sofian Saboulard, described the victim's father.

The Kosovar denied all charges, except for the prison sentence, he has been banned from entering French territory.

The Kosovar was sentenced in the first instance to 18 years in prison in January 2023.

A procedural error allowed his release on February 13, but he was arrested again 12 days later. And in July 2024, he received the maximum sentence.
