New details have emerged from the serious incident recorded last evening in Lezha, where the former leader of the Democratic Party of Albania in the administrative unit of Dajçi, in Zadrima, was brutally raped by unidentified persons.

53-year-old Sokol Toma was hit with hard objects and, due to the injuries he sustained, was initially transported for medical assistance and then sent to the Trauma Hospital for more specialized treatment.

Sources from the hospital indicate that the aggressors caused him serious physical injuries, breaking his legs and cutting off part of his ear.

Currently, the 53-year-old is hospitalized in the orthopedics ward.

The incident occurred around 10:00 PM on the Mamurras-Laç axis, in the Sandzak area.

According to preliminary information, the perpetrators, who are suspected of being masked, attacked him with hard objects and then took his mobile phone.

The police have launched investigations and are working to identify and capture the perpetrators, while the motives for this serious incident are still unknown.
