The next hearing was held today at the Administrative Court for Erion Veliaj's lawsuit against SPAK prosecutor Ols Dado .
The hearing began with the judge's speech, followed by the mayor of Tirana and his lawyer, Plarent Ndreca.
Debate:
Court: Regarding the lack of KLP, what is the plaintiff's opinion?
Lawyer Plarent Ndreca: To continue without the presence of the party.
Veliaj: KLP does not respond, is there a decision they have not responded to, like ordering someone to delete the footage, ordering this process to continue, this process must continue, when no information is provided and it was never gathered to provide information.
The Court : Finds the absence and continues the process in the absence of the representatives of the KLP. Do you have another request?
Plarent Ndreca: I am not known as a professional for my lack of patience, the way the public is treated and the fact that an officer stands at the door and blocks entry to a public session. I don't know what the employee there wants to assess who enters or not, what does the chief secretary know to assess whether the cameras are in or not? Every kind of understanding has passed and I can't find words for this absurdity that is being installed. The trial should be in the eyes of the public and you should evaluate the instruction of the Supreme Court of Justice, which in the last case you said that the cameras should not be present. Why should the Supreme Court of Justice be allowed in the court's activities?
Afterwards, the session was accompanied by debates between Erjon Veliaj's lawyer and administrative judge Hazbi Balliu about not allowing cameras to enter the process.
Judge: Please refer my decision to the institutions, I am referring to the instructions of the Supreme Court.
Ndreca: I am extremely clear, I ask that you open the process to the public, I do not understand what fear there is in this process. You are facing the prosecutor of the republic and the president who have an obligation to give an account. Public participation is not a privilege.
Judge : I refer to the instruction.
Ndreca : Refer to the Constitution.
Judge: If the parties agree.
Ndreca: You don't have any private parties here. You have the state, the mayor, the president, and the prosecutor.
