The National Cyber Security Authority has appealed to citizens to be cautious of messages that may arrive on their phones, as they are related to a scam.
According to AKSK, a fraudulent message announcing fines is intended to obtain personal data, therefore such SMS messages on the phone should not be clicked.
AKSK announcement:
The National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK) informs that a "smishing" message is circulating that aims to deceive citizens with fake fines for violating road traffic rules.
The message contains a fraudulent link and requests online payments. This is not an official communication from state institutions and any citizen who receives this SMS should ignore it and not click on the link or provide personal information.
AKSK has immediately taken measures to report the blocking of the site, to prevent any possible damage.
We call on citizens:
Do not open suspicious links that come from unofficial SMS or emails.
Never make payments through sites that are not official domains.
Immediately notify AKSK or relevant institutions if you encounter such messages.
