Yesterday, RENEA special forces intervened in an apartment in a building in Astir, where a 21-year-old girl was holed up this Thursday.

In connection with this incident, Tirana police have announced a search for 4 boys accused of firearms, cocaine, and a bulletproof vest that were found in one of the rented apartments.

They, along with 3 girls, including the 21-year-old, celebrated Wednesday evening and the early hours of Thursday morning in two apartments rented for the day.

The girl stated that she went to the apartment of her own free will, but according to her, when she saw that they had weapons, she was scared. Contrary to what she claimed during the phone call to the police, she stated that she was not raped. Meanwhile, the expert report also shows that there are no signs of violence.

The girl's boyfriend has been identified as Joni Sadikaj. He is a name known to the police.

About 8 years ago, Sadikaj was arrested along with two other boys for trafficking 1.3 tons of cannabis sativa, which was seized on the coast of Kavaja.

In July 2022, the young man was arrested by the police after an unlicensed weapon, a comb, and combat ammunition were found on him. 

He was in a car with two other people.
