Details from the incident in Astir/ 6 people had rented two apartments, consumed drugs all night

Details from yesterday's event at "Astir"

In total, there were 6 people, 3 girls and 3 boys, who since Wednesday evening had been in two apartments on the 8th floor of the building where they had rented Airbnb next to each other.

The apartments were rented by a boy with whom the 21-year-old SQ was dating. The young people spent Wednesday night until Thursday noon in both apartments, where they are suspected of consuming narcotics.

On Thursday afternoon, the other 5 young people, two girls and 3 boys, went downstairs to have coffee, while the girl with the initials SQ was left in the room asleep. When she woke up, the young woman saw the two firearms, pistols and the bulletproof vest, and then began to show paranoia and scream in fear, screams that were also heard by the residents of the building.

She then called her family, her mother, telling them that she felt threatened and scared and that she had been raped by several people all night and was being held hostage. Her family members then called the police, telling them that their daughter had been kidnapped by people who also had weapons and had raped her. Unlike the first official announcement by the Tirana police, which stated that the girl with the initials SQ had called the operations room, the girl's father had called the police and the uncle had filed a complaint with the police.

Initially, after a phone call from the girl's family, two law enforcement officers went to the apartment on the eighth floor, but the girl, who was screaming in fear and displaying paranoia, did not open the door.

Then her family members went there to convince her. It was the father who communicated with the girl via video call behind the door where he was with the police, but the girl still did not open the door. Then the law enforcement officers notified the FNSH and the RENEA forces who entered the apartment through the window by descending from the terrace of the building.

Meanwhile, the other 5 people, the 3 boys and the two girls, fled the moment they noticed that two law enforcement officers had gone up to the 8th floor near the apartments they had rented.

The police have seized the DVR of the building's security cameras and have identified all the people (the 3 boys and the 2 other girls) and their movements from the first day of accommodation in the two apartments until their departure after the police arrived.

The 6 young men were even visited by several other friends on Wednesday evening, but they stayed for a short time and left. The other two girls, who have already been identified, have been questioned by the police.

The police, after initially arriving at the apartment where the girl was inside, questioned the owner, who stated that the person who had rented the apartment had also rented the apartment next door since November.

The police then conducted a search there as well, while the girl was locked in the other apartment. In both apartments, the police found alcoholic beverages, two pistols and a bulletproof vest. Signs of drug use were also found.

The girl was in a serious psychological state and in her preliminary testimony to the police she stated that she felt threatened and that she was with two other girls and 3 boys and that they had invited her. She stated that she was scared when she saw that they were carrying weapons and asked her family for help. After she calmed down she stated that she was not raped.
