The 68th day of protest in front of the prime minister's office began with the repetition of well-known demands: the resignation of Prime Minister Rama and the repeal of laws on strategic investments and changes to protected areas.

One of the activists said that the prime minister will not be able to enjoy his vacation as they have no intention of abandoning the boulevard.

"Today Edi Rama had hoped that none of us would be here and that he would enjoy the holidays in peace. But no, we have decided not to leave the Boulevard without Edi Rama leaving ," said the protester.

Meanwhile, activist Sidorela Vatnikaj has declared from the 68th protest against the government that citizens will continue to stand in the square, as their demands have not only not been heard, but have increased.

Vatnikaj said that Albanian society has been in protest for 68 days and accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of choosing to attack citizens instead of responding to their demands.

The activist said that the protest, according to her, has now turned into a confrontation with corruption, the oligarchy and the political system.

"Today we have another war, the war against autocracy, against corruption, against state arrogance, against police violence, against the oligarchy and the sold-out media. The war for a new and free Albania," the activist said.

She also reiterated the main demands of the protest, starting with the resignation of the prime minister and his cabinet.

"We demand the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the entire government cabinet. Resignation!" said Vatnikaj.

Among other demands, she mentioned the repeal of laws affecting public assets, including the Mountains Package, the law on strategic investors, and changes to protected areas.

"This protest has made it clear that it demands a revolution not only against the government, but against the entire 36-year-old political class, which has impoverished and used society for its private interests. Therefore, today we demand that the prime minister's mandate be only one term and not for their entire political life ," Vatnikaj emphasized.
