Actress and director Egla Ceno has reacted strongly to the recent intimate video scandal, strongly condemning the violence, lynching, and humiliation inflicted on women.
In her reaction, she emphasizes that she is disgusted by this perverse act of recording and publishing, while adding that she has privately communicated with one of the girls to offer her support.
In addition, she has also responded harshly to commentators who use the event to attack the girls on the screen, also raising concern about social and economic problems in the country.
Ceno's post
I strongly condemn the humiliation, lynching, and violence being inflicted on those women on video from their beds. I am disgusted by the perverse act of recording it and even more disgusted by its publication.
Yesterday I exchanged messages with one of them to offer my support as a woman and she told me she felt bad… I can only imagine her psycho-emotional state.
Meanwhile, some gogolesh comment to the girls on the screen, "Oh my god, you don't get any videos." I tell them: Oh my god, your mothers and sisters don't get any videos like that, because they're not just videos: they're public humiliation, destruction!
You've had enough of other people's beds, you wretch! Look who has pulled down your pants and is exploiting your backs every day, in the open air, because Tirana is filled with laborers who don't know a word of Albanian. They are wiping you out, they are exploiting you without a bed at all!
