Do you agree that a tower should be built at Rinia Park?  

It is the question that a group of 25 initiators, mostly democrats, are asking to submit to a local referendum to block the construction of a multi-story multi-dimensional building in the heart of the capital. 
 
Jamarbër Malltezi , head of the Environment Department in the Democratic Party: The city needs parks, the city needs a solution to the traffic problem, it needs clean air quality. Unfortunately, none of these are being solved, towers are simply being built just for Edi Rama's pocket. The time has come for citizens to be asked. To be asked whether they want a tower for their city or do they want one more park.

Dorjan Teliti , member of the Tirana municipal council, PD: So what we are asking for is very simple, it is very clear, and it is completely legal and above all it is moral. Let's go to the citizens, let's ask them.

The Central Election Commission's protocol recorded the request of the initiative group aiming to collect the necessary signatures to block the project called " Tirana Fountain Plaza " which was won a few days ago by the Danish company "Bjarke Ingels Group".
