Switzerland starts EURO 2024 on a good foot, winning cleanly 3-1 against Hungary in the valuable match for group A.
Switzerland dictated the pace in the first half and not only, with the team led by Murat Yakin who quickly took the lead after 12 minutes of play through Duah, who alone in front of Gulacsi made no mistake and sent Aebischer's pass into the net.
The latter was the absolute protagonist even in the last minute of regular time in the first half, with the Bologna midfielder who also scored the second goal for Switzerland, with the 27-year-old scoring a very beautiful goal.
0-2 and that's how the first half ended, while in the second half the Hungarians changed course, improving and changing the pace of the match.
In the 66th minute, Varga narrowed the score, with the 29-year-old making the most of the uncertainty of the "Helvetii" defense and stopping Szoboszlai's cross into the net.
But despite the desire and volume, Hungary could not avoid defeat, while on the other side, Switzerland also scored the third goal in the third minute of extra time, with Embolo finding the net after some chaos at the back of Rossi's team.
The Helvetians are already with three points, the same as their neighbors, Germany, in second place due to goal difference and on the other hand, Hungary is positioned in third place, but without points like Scotland.
