UEFA decides on the referee of the final, also judged Albania in the group stage

Spain-England will be the grand final of Euro 2024, scheduled to take place on July 14 in Berlin.

UEFA has recently decided the referee of the final, which has been entrusted to Francois Letexier. The 35-year-old Frenchman has been an international referee since 2017 and has so far refereed 65 official matches in UEFA competitions.

Letexier has refereed three matches in this Euro 2024, two in the Denmark-Serbia group stage as well as Albania's match against Croatia which ended 2-2.

Meanwhile, in the round of 1/8, Letexier refereed the match between Spain and Georgia where the "Red Fury" won 4-1, while the Frenchman was also the fourth referee in the opening match between Germany and Scotland in Munich.

Now, Letexier prepares to dole out justice in the most important match of the competition, a challenge which could raise his figure even more in European football.
