The UEFA Executive Committee decided at today's meeting in Prague, among other things, to hold an official meeting in Tirana on September 8, 2025. 

Such an organization has not happened before, as it will be the Albanian Football Federation that will take care.

AFF announcement:

The UEFA Executive Committee held a meeting in Prague today where some important decisions regarding European football were made.

For the first time in the history of Albanian football, the UEFA Executive Committee will hold an official meeting in Tirana, under the organization of the Football Federation. This important event will be held on September 8, 2025 and is a historic moment for Albanian football and our country itself.

The meeting of the highest level of the governing body of UEFA in Tirana will place Albania in the center of Europe. This historical development is a proof of the growing influence of Albania in European football.

During the meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, the following other decisions were also taken:

– The new UEFA strategy for girls' football 2024-2030 was approved.

– The solidarity fund for clubs not participating in UEFA competitions for the period 2024/27 was defined

– The UEFA Champions League 2027 final will not take place at the San Siro stadium because the municipality of Milan has not guaranteed the renovation of the stadium. The UEFA Executive Committee has re-opened the candidacy process and the final decision will be made in the May/June 2025 period.

– The host venue for the 2025 UEFA European U-19 Futsal Championship was set to Chisinau, Moldova.

– The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland on 16 December 2024.
