Prince Leka's separation from Elia Zaharia was confirmed a few days ago, by them. Erion Teli, the former head of Public Relations at the Royal Court spoke in an interview for "Canapé" about the sensational divorce.

Prince's new relationship with photographer Blerta Celibashi has been hinted at as the reason for the divorce. Teli reiterated that the relationship started a month and a half ago, while the marriage ended a year and a half ago. He shared his personal opinion on the reason for the divorce between the couple and said that Elia Zaharia's career could have been a possible cause.

She is an artist in the full sense of the word, the daughter of a great Albanian artist who is Yllka Mujo, maybe this was, I believe, the beginning of their split.

Mrs. Zaharia, as I said, is a free spirit, it is very difficult as an artist to live in the squares that a member of the royal family wants. This has made her often absent from protocol meetings, not only inside Albania but also outside Albania, the pressure increases from all sides. I believe a lot, I can't confirm, I can't say anything officially, it's my personal opinion that it was the rift in their marriage, then of course, things started to get worse over time," said Erion Teli.
