The Arabs have a plan: to become the new superpower of world football. To implement it, they have put in a system a series of investments outside any European parameters, thanks to the almost unlimited resources of the Public Investment Fund (Pif), a sovereign government fund which by 2025 will reach a portfolio of 900 billion.

In this market session, the two big clubs from Riyadh, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, the two queens of Jeddah, Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad and the other 14 teams of the championship have already spent a total of 1 billion between players, cards and salaries.

The policy of Arab clubs is to persuade the best players in the plan to move to Saudi Arabia, preferably close to the expiry of their contracts, in order to make them impossible to refuse offers.

Analyzing the movements of the market, it can be seen that in fact the most expensive purchase in the history of the championship is that of Malcom from Zenit to Al-Hilal, followed by Ruben Neves (again Al-Hilal) paid 55 million, Fabinho (46, 7 million from Al-Ittihad) and Milinkovic (40 million, Al-Hilal).

There were no other expenses over 40 million euros. Ronaldo went to Al-Nassr at zero cost, as did Kante and Benzema to Al-Ittihad, while Al-Ahli convinced City to sell Mahrez for 35 million a few months before the contract (2024) between the Algerian and the English club expired.

This is how we come to salaries, which have staggering figures.

The ranking of the top 20 sees Benzema at the top with 100 million a year, followed by Ronaldo with 70 (the Portuguese phenomenon earns over 250 million between wages and sponsorships), Kante with 50, Mane 40, Henderson and Fabinho 42, Mahrez 30 , Koulibaly and Brozovic 25, Milinkovic and Firmino 20, Malcom 18, Fofana 15, Ruben Neves and Mendy 14, Jota and Saint Maximin 12 and Telles 8.2. The total exceeds 1 billion. The assault on the Premier League is underway.
