Jose Mourinho was sacked by Roma just three days ago, following poor results this season in Serie A. Not long after his departure, the Portuguese has found a new team.
Media in Saudi Arabia announce that Al Shabab and the 60-year-old's agent have a verbal agreement to bench Mourinho. "Asharq AL Ausat" informs that the presentation can be made in the following days, after the agreement between Mout and the sports director of Al Shabab, Domenico Tite, is concretized.
Al Shabab are currently 11th in the Saudi Pro League and have the likes of former Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco and ex-Sevilla fan Ever Banega in their ranks.
Last year, Mourinho told MBC Egypt: "I will go to Saudi Arabia in my free time, but I am convinced that I will work there. I don't know when, but I'm pretty sure about it. Doors are always open for me in Saudi Arabia. I want to feel the development there".
If all is made official soon, Mourinho would make his debut on the bench against Roma, with Al Shabab having secured a friendly with the Serie A club on January 24.
