Georgina Rodriguez has hinted that Cristiano Ronaldo may retire from football within a year.
The Portuguese star's partner wowed at Paris Fashion Week in a custom-designed dress honoring the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend.
At the event, Georgina made a statement that confirmed Ronaldo will be hanging up his boots soon.
"Cristiano one more year, then I close it! Maybe two, I don't know!", was the statement of the 30-year-old, reports the British tabloid "The Sun".
Ronaldo, who turned 39 a month ago, is under contract with Saudi club Al-Nassr until 2025. In his previous statements, he said he wants to play into his 40s.
But the five-time Ballon d'Or winner really wants to play in the 2026 World Cup.
He has never gone beyond the semi-finals at a World Cup and it is his "dream" to add the biggest title in football to his trophy collection.
The former coach of Portugal, Fernando Santos, believes that "he will not lower his level" and "when he feels that he can no longer be the usual CR7, he will hang up his boots."
Ronaldo has scored 28 goals in 29 games in Saudi Arabia this season, starting his career at Sporting Lisbon before moving to Man Utd in 2003.
