Carlo Ancelotti is open about the future of Toni Kroos. The 34-year-old German midfielder is out of contract and may choose to retire after the end of this season.
Yesterday, Kroos' mother, who has taken care of his interests in the last 9 seasons, admitted: "My wish is for my son to renew one more season with Real Madrid." Ancelotti did not hide that he hoped for the same.
During the press conference, on the eve of the match Real Madrid-Girona, scheduled for February 10, at 18:30, Ancelotti declared: "We must always respect our parents, it is something that the current generations lack.
However, this is a decision Kroos will make at the best time and in the best way. If he does 'retire' at the end of this season, he will do so because he has character and ambition.
Ancelotti also expressed his opinion on the introduction of the blue card in football: "The general idea with the regulation is to simplify it as much as possible. I don't know if the blue card will actually serve this purpose, but the regulations should go in that direction and the feeling it gives me is that every year it gets more complicated."
