In order to guarantee public order and safety, during the rally that was to take place at noon today, near the Ministry of Education building, the State Police drafted a plan of measures, in accordance with the law and standard work procedures.

During the rally, a group of participants committed violent acts, damaging the external fence and then, in order to enter the courtyard, they also damaged the entrance gate. They also continued to break and damage the windows and facade of the building with stone slabs and hard objects.

Police officers called on them to stop the attack on the institution, but they continued to attack police officers with Molotov cocktails, rockets, stones, and hard objects.

Police officers have again called on the violent individuals to stop the attack and leave the courtyard of the Ministry building, but the participants have not obeyed the repeated calls of the Police.

Under these conditions, in accordance with the laws in force and standard work procedures, Police structures have intervened proportionally to neutralize the perpetrators of these actions and restore order.

At the same time, they have escorted 23 of them for further procedural actions.

As a result of the attack by masked individuals participating in the protest, 6 police officers of the National Security Force, as well as a citizen, a journalist, were injured. All are out of danger.

The investigative structures of the Tirana Police Department, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, have immediately launched investigative and procedural actions to identify, apprehend and bring to criminal responsibility all citizens involved in illegal actions during this gathering.

The State Police once again emphasizes its commitment to fully guarantee the exercise of citizens' constitutional right to peaceful assembly and invites participants in gatherings not to become part of illegal actions that violate public order and safety, as they will face the criminal consequences provided for by law.
