Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha reacted after the statement of Ambassador Yuri Kim, who in an interview for the Voice of America, considered her to be the arsonist of the village who promises to put out all the fires.
"I think that when you have people designated by the United States of America for significant corruption, when these individuals claim that they will eliminate corruption, it is like the fireman in the village who promises to put out all the fires; not only that, but it requires and all the matches he can find from all the other villagers. It's just wrong, wrong. And I think ordinary Albanian citizens are smart and know that there's no logic to it." Yuri Kim declared.
In a post on Twitter, Berisha considers the American ambassador's statement as a last service for Edi Rama. According to him, with the statement about the fires, Yuri Kim is trying to hide his publicly denounced corrupt affairs, but also other affairs.
Berisha invites the inspector general of the State Department, the FBI and the US Congress to investigate the corrupt affairs of Yuri Kim, including her properties in Albania, according to him.
"Dear friends, Governor Yuri Kim, in an attempt to do one last service to Edi Rama, spoke today as if McGonigal was speaking in a dress. But with her declaration of fires and arsonists, she is actually trying to hide her reported corrupt affairs publicly, but also other affairs.I invite the inspector general of the State Department, the FBI and the US Congress to investigate the corrupt affairs of Governor Kim including her properties in Albania.
The Democratic Party, as it is today, is ready to contribute to this transparency. The Democratic Party adds that its candidates are neither grass nor fire, but the candidates of the free vote. She invites every Albanian to take change into their own hands to save the country from an evil that has been going on for more than a decade! Together we win! #sb #We win together," writes Berisha.
