Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi reacted after the elections in Rrogozhinë. He states that it is necessary to change the way of organization and operation of the election commissions of the second and third levels.

According to Celibash, the administration of elections at these levels by persons designated only by political parties does not ensure integrity and technical good administration of the process.

"Perhaps it is not the time or even the occasion, but I must bring to attention now, especially after the elections of July 23, 2023 in Rrogozhinë, the necessity to change the way of organization and operation of the election commissions of the second and third levels.

The administration of elections at these levels by persons designated only by political parties does not ensure either the integrity of the process or its technical good administration. I hope that the political parties will realistically and without prejudice evaluate this consideration of the CEC", said Celibashi.
