Zegjine Çaushi on the verge of losing his mandate!

An unexpected reversal occurred in the Fier region after the recount of votes by the Complaints and Sanctions Commission.

With only the last ballot box left to be recounted, Zegjine Çaushi is on the verge of losing her mandate as MP in this district, as her fellow SP colleague, Maldrita Bardho, has moved to a 9-vote advantage.

After the counting was completed on May 11 and the process was closed by the Central Election Commission, it was Çaushi who won the mandate with 61 more votes than Maldrita Bardho.

But the recount requested by "Albania Becomes" has brought about a reversal of the result, as far as candidates within the Socialist Party are concerned.

The last ballot box remaining to be recounted is expected to decide the fate of the SP's 12th mandate.
