Erion Veliaj

Following the decision of the GJKKO in the first session of the trial on the merits,  SPAK  has ordered the BKH to send all investigative acts to Erion Veliaj in his cell.

It is learned that on Tuesday afternoon, the materials, 72 folders with about 28 thousand pages, were sent in a van to the Durrës prison where the mayor of Tirana,  Erion Veliaj , is being held .

The Special Court decided to pass the case file against Erion Veliaj, his wife Ajola Xoxa , and 28 individuals and companies part of the same file for trial on February 9.

The Mayor of Tirana has been under arrest since February 10, 2025, while SPAK sent the request to transfer the file to trial 5 months ago.
