American senators meeting with Rama, Begaj and Bardhi: the USA has no better
The meeting with Rama

The two American senators, Chris Murphy and Gary Peters, made an official visit to Tirana today, where they held a meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama, President Bajram Begaj and MP Gazment Bardhi as representatives of the opposition.

They also held meetings with representatives of civil society and the media, as well as Afghan evacuees in Albania, and also visited the historical fortress of Preza.

Regarding their visit, a reaction came from the American ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, where she emphasizes that their visit focused on strengthening American relations with democracy, defense and business.

She also quotes the words of Senator Chris Murphy, who stated that "the USA has no better friend in the world than Albania".

"It is a pleasure to have Senators Chris Murphy and Gary Peters in Albania to strengthen American relations with democracy, defense and business. As Senator Murphy said, "the USA has no better friend in the world than Albania".

As NATO allies and members of the UN Security Council, our cooperation on regional and global issues from supporting the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo, to rejecting Russia's war against Ukraine, to the removal of Afghan friends from risk, to strengthen the defense against cyber attacks, is more important than ever", writes Yuri Kim.
