Democratic MP Ervin Salianji is expected to surrender to the police today at 16:45.

So, the democratic militants have called to gather in front of the Tirana Police Directorate, to protest what they call the political decision of the court to imprison Salianji.

Salianji was sentenced to one year in prison by the Court of Appeal of Tirana, for "false report", related to the denunciation of the audio recording known as "Babale", where he claimed to be the brother of Fatmir Xhafaj, Geron Xhafaj.

Salianji is expected to serve his sentence in a regular security prison.
