The leader of the Democratic Party said today from the podium of the opposition's fourth national protest that Edi Rama's government is desolating the country and its days are numbered.

He compared the socialist government's regime to that of their predecessors, the regime of Enver Hoxha. Berisha underlined that Rama holds his power on three pillars of shame and is now branded as a thief and for the electoral farce.

"The country's power would be in the hands of a traitor who will always remain in national history for his acts of treason. 35 years ago, those hundreds and thousands of men and women who passed the blockade, passed the armored cars, snipers, machine guns for a free vote, for human dignity, never believed that 35 years later, the electoral farce of the one we overthrew would return.

"The truth is that we honor this date today with a sense of deep gratitude and with our commitment to the Albanians that Edi Rama's days will be numbered. Enver Hoxha, as is known, died in 1985, but the truth is that he and his dictatorship continued their full-power rule until the day we demolished his statue, the macabre cult of Enver Hoxha that had conquered the souls of Albanians," said the opposition leader.

For Berisha, the prime minister is now a political corpse and discredited in the world as a thief of free elections and as corrupt, using crime and depopulating Albania.

"Similarly today, Edi Rama is a political corpse, political rot, stigmatized, discredited, terrified. But again, just like the statue of Enver Hoxha, he will remain in that office as long as we do not drag him away like we dragged his spiritual father away 35 years ago."

Friends, the Hoxha dictatorship was an unprecedented dictatorship, apart from the class war where it executed thousands and thousands of Albanians with dignity and in faith in God, it deported thousands of others and persecuted hundreds of thousands, it used the deepest isolation, a 46-year regime and was based on several pillars that weighed on the Albanians.
