Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Aachen, Germany, today to participate in the "Charlemagne Europa Forum".
There, the head of government met Elmar Brok, the former MEP who is a friend of Sali Berisha and who was in Albania campaigning for the May 11 elections alongside the leading democrat.
But Brok, despite his friendship with Berisha, congratulated Rama on his victory in the May 11 elections.
Through a post on social media, Rama has shared a bit of the conversation that took place between them, which also has a touch of humor. What the socialist leader will never "forgive" Brok for is that every time he comes to Tirana, they do not sit down together to have a coffee.
"Elmar Brok: Edi, congratulations! Well, I came to Tirana again to kill you, but every time I come to kill you, you climb higher!"
Me: Elmar, there's only one thing I will never forgive you for! You come to Tirana and don't have a coffee with me, while I owe you, because as Nietzsche said, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"!
"We burst into laughter and hug like old friends," Rama writes on Facebook, while accompanying it with a photo with Brok.
