The Democratic Party - Alliance for a Greater Albania has filed another complaint with the CEC Complaints and Sanctions Commission, requesting the declaration of the elections in the Shkodra district as invalid.
In the letter to the KAS, the DP-ASHM demands that the elections be repeated in the entire Shkodra district, claiming that manipulations have occurred.
According to the DP-ASHM's denunciations, institutions that should have been neutral, from municipalities to local branches of ministries, have been actively engaged in favor of the ruling party.
Various officials have been accused of distributing benefits, exerting pressure, and threatening potential opposition voters.
"Citizens are faced with an election that is not free, but bought or imposed. Where the Party-State functions, there can be no free and fair elections," the DP-ASHM statement said.
Furthermore, the opposition has accused the use of criminal groups in rural areas, which have exerted fear and pressure on voters, directly influencing the outcome.
These actions, according to them, have contributed to the DP-ASHM failing to obtain at least 6 mandates in a district that has traditionally been a bastion of the right.
