For the first time, Albania was rated by Standard & Poor's with BB-, marking an improvement in the fiscal position. Foreign investments have also increased in the country, which according to the Bank of Albania have reached around 1.5 billion Euros from 1 billion.

But Prime Minister Edi Rama says that his government aims for the level of foreign investments in Albania to reach 4 billion Euros.

At the meeting of the National Economic Council, Rama said that Albania has all the possibilities to move up to the BB+ level in the future, improving the fiscal situation even more.

"We have a potential for a further increase in foreign investments and the aim is to climb to 2, 2.5, 3, to 4 billion Euros. Undoubtedly, we have all the possibilities that in a short time we will have a positive assessment with an improvement from SP and today, if we look at the trends, the situation is not at all rampant for us to move to BB+. Tourism increases, the demand for Albania increases. Today we see that entrepreneurship in tourism no longer poses the problem of salaries, it is ready to pay very well as it would not have been imagined a few years ago, but poses the problem of having someone to pay and with whom to cover the roles and functions".

On the other hand, European integration and the process of opening negotiations, the phase in which Albania is currently, requires the commitment of all actors in Albania and new knowledge.

"Integration into the EU with the negotiation phase is a process that burdens not only the government with great new responsibilities, but the entire organizational system of Albania. It is a process where the executive, judicial and legislative powers have their duties that they must fulfill because the government will not be integrated, Albania will be integrated. Even the private sector has its own big responsibilities, it will have to make its own sacrifices. And above all there is a common denominator, for us the government, the executive, judicial, legislative power, for the private sector, for civil society, and this denominator is that this process at this stage requires new knowledge", said Prime Minister Edi Rama .
