The head of the government of Albania, Edi Rama, again asks Serbia to release the three policemen from Kosovo.

Rama has stated that he has made it clear to his partners that Albania's relations with Serbia depend on the release of the three policemen, if such a thing does not happen then our relations are in place and the only communication is for the release of the three officers.

Among other things, Rama has expressed that he is not nice to Albini, but at this point he is in the same direction as him and demands the release of the policemen who have not done anything.


"I have no comment on anything other than the topic of tensions in Kosovo, which is a topic a million times more important for all that the big brother and the little brother are talking about, we have not done any kind of acting but we have been clearly to follow the policy that we have followed with Serbia that we have intervened as much as it allows us and we have power and weight. The fact that three policemen in this case are Kosovar Albanians, I would take the same position even if three Serbian policemen were held hostage by a country without committing any crime, this affects our relations and this shows that Serbia must engage more seriously in the relationship with us. it is not only the fact that they are Albanian policemen, but there are three people who are being held hostage by a country and it is covered by the fact that this and that one were arrested, it is irrelevant even if the arrests made by legitimate forces in Kosovo are true, a democratic state does not react in such a way. The claims that Serbia has about the arrests in Kosovo have a place to address them, address them to the organizations that are there to clarify and monitor the situation, this is the way of a democratic state. We are very active for their release in many channels and it is not even discussed how long those people are there, our relations with Serbia today are only about this issue and I wish that their release happens as soon as possible, every day is harmful, not only for our relations, but it is harmful for Serbia, the region, and there is no benefit in keeping three policemen in prison for border violations. Serbia does not recognize that border, or is he now recognizing the state of Kosovo, this is a state deviation and there is no question of any other relationship in this direction, it is the consequence of a fact. Without the release of the three policemen, no further steps will be taken, I am not nice to Albini, but at this point I agree with Albini and until the three are released I will not do anything. It is not the case that those people have committed crimes, as is the case with the arrests in Kosovo, but there are three policemen who have crossed a line that is not clear", said Rama.
