Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his speech at the major ITB tourism fair in Berlin, presenting some of our country's achievements in the field of tourism, as well as calling on Germans to choose our country as their next vacation destination.

Rama thanked the organizers of the event for giving our country the opportunity to present its tourism offer, saying that the reality today is different from the stigma that foreigners have been told about Albania for years.

Excerpt from Rama's speech:

We have the best coffee, compared to your brown liquid, and that's the least I can say, without offending our friends here. We love German tourists because they drink a lot of beer and eat a lot. Germans give the impression of being the people who work the most, but they are also the people who rest the most, leaving even the Chinese behind.

We had a 2.5 times increase in domestic GDP, and now we are adding even more experiences, where in a country of only 28 thousand square km, you can find two seas, 9 rivers, plains, lakes, mountains, experiencing the hot sand and the Swiss Alps in a few hours' journey. For us to have this place at ITB Berlin is something that no one in our country imagined would happen. It is such a humbling experience, I want to thank ITB first, for allowing us to enjoy this reward, the opportunity to show the world that we are very different from how much stigma in many parts of the world has shown about us.
