"France 24" has dedicated a special space to what is happening in Albania with the protests against the government.
In addition to interviews with protesters, French journalists also interviewed writer and publicist Fatos Lubonja. According to him, the issue is not just about Kushner's investment, but about the anger accumulated over years against the system.
"There is a great frustration that has been accumulating for years due to the political and economic system created in Albania, a system dominated by oligarchs and organized crime that is becoming increasingly strong. I hope that the pressure will not fall only on Kushner, but on this system," says Lubonja.
The show also aired a portion of an interview with Prime Minister Edi Rama. He reiterates that the protests are being exploited by external factors.
"Exactly what's happening. There's a lot of interference, whether it's interference from Iran, with whom we've been in a cyber war for 3 years, or interference from competitors across the region who don't want this development in Albania."
"As I said, there are all the other concerns of a part of the population that want different things, but we were elected to do what we promised, and among the promises is this project. It is very interesting, because in Tirana there are protests, in Vlora where the project is supposed to be done, people want the project ," Rama said.
