Today, Prime Minister Rama was part of the Economic Forum in Greece, where he stated that the neighboring country is a strategic partner of our country.

He said that Greece has been a strong supporter of Albania in terms of the country's integration into the EU and as far as bilateral relations are concerned, the creation of a joint commercial chamber between the two countries is expected.

"The relations with the neighbors are at the best and most important time, however the relations between Albania and Greece are at their peak, we are working very closely and there is a lot of willingness to do many things together. Relations between peoples are so good and politicians need to adapt in the sense that they cannot and do not seem to be a hindrance when relations between peoples are fantastic. During the exercise of my duty we have had two difficult situations, one was caused as a result of disputes over maritime borders that we agreed to choose by turning to a third party, while the second has to do with the difficult situation of Greece as a result of the financial crisis that has closed it and focused more on its own affairs.

Greece is back in the region with the Mitsotakis government and we can work very well now because Greece is an important and strategic partner. There has been very strong support for negotiations in the EU. As far as bilateral relations are concerned, the creation of the chamber of commerce is very good news, and for that I must thank Simone. It is a big and important step. The trade volume with Greece is many times lower than it should be, while the potential is many times greater. This is something we are trying to do more of, we are also working on a fantastic project to protect the Vjosa river. The Greek government has shown willingness to cooperate with us regarding the environment and international parks. The value of trade relations can increase and the chamber of commerce will have a very large impact. It is not very inspiring to look at the volume of Greek investments over the years and I think there is a lot of potential as Greek investors are the first to invest in Albania. EU integration will not happen to strengthen relations with Greece, but it will be important to strengthen relations in this process. It is very important to pick up the pace and recover relationships.
