Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today to the protest and recent developments in Zvërnec, emphasizing, according to him, the importance of large foreign investment projects in the country. During his speech, Rama emphasized that such projects can have a significant impact on the Albanian economy.

Rama focused on agreements with international luxury brands, mentioning " AMAN Hotel " and " Cheval Blanc ".

The head of government further warned that obstacles to such projects could bring economic consequences, comparing the situation with developments in Montenegro and the Porto Montenegro project.

Rama: And I'm telling you this, today as we speak, investors have agreements with " Mandarine Oriental", "Atlantis", "Roswood", "AMAN Hotel" and "Cheval Blanc" , it is the most exclusive brand today which is in Paris, it is in Venice, it will come to Vlora, if together we will ensure its welcome, if you continue like this for a few days, then you know what will happen? The tragedy of Porto Montenegro will happen, but on the scale of this time.

The Montenegro Port that made Montenegro's destiny was built by someone who wandered around Albania for years and was ''thrown and cut''. He wanted to build the port of Durres and went to Montenegro and today Montenegro has the highest salaries and per capita income, the highest in this region, thanks to those investments that he was not afraid to make and that he did not ''kick down the throat'', of course, of investors. What will we choose? Will we choose to stay and still look at Montenegro from behind or will we choose to outdo Montenegro and others who are concerned about this project?
