The Albanian government has taken action to help singer Parashqevi Simaku.

Taulant Balla, who also holds a coordinating role for the diaspora, has been engaged to follow up on this case.

As reported, Minister of State and Parliamentary Relations Balla, and the diplomatic staff in New York, USA, have been engaged in providing identification documents for the artist, who did not have any after being in a serious condition in recent years.

Sources claim that a meeting was held at the Albanian consulate in New York, which aimed to help the singer in two ways: to provide her with an Albanian passport and to mediate with the American state, to understand if there is documentation that can be updated, or to initiate a new procedure to provide her with both identification and residence documents.
